April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM). đź’ś
Today, we stand in honor of survivors, in remembrance of those whose voices were silenced, and in commitment to protecting the vulnerable within our communities.
Sexual assault and human trafficking are not distant issues—they exist in our neighborhoods, our schools, and even within spaces that appear safe. Awareness is not optional; it is our responsibility.
Let us be intentional about:
• Educating ourselves and our children
• Creating safe, open spaces for honest conversations
• Recognizing the signs of abuse and exploitation
• Speaking up when something does not feel right
To every survivor:
You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone. Your story matters, and your healing matters.
As we move forward, let us not only raise awareness—but take action. Protect. Educate. Advocate.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves…” – Proverbs 31:8
